Toilet Rules and Manners
Toilet rules and manners might be slightly different from what your country follows.
Refrain from throwing garbage inside the toilet bowl or on the floor. Always use the toilet properly and clean it afterwards so the next person can use it comfortably.
The toilet paper manufactured here is designed to dissolve when immersed in water. Generally, sewage facilities are installed so it is safe to flush the toilet paper as it is along with the waste. However, sanitary products like napkin and diapers should not be flushed down the toilet.
※Small trash cans found inside the cubicle of women’s comfort rooms are for throwing used napkins and not for toilet paper.
・In Japan, there are toilets where slippers are being placed. Use these slippers if you are going to use the toilet and don’t forget to take them off and put them back properly after.
