Bicycle Etiquette

09.17.2019

✅Do not leave your bicycles at the front of train stations or on the street.

In Japan, all bicycles are registered for the purpose of crime prevention. If a police officer checks your bicycle and finds that it is unregistered, it will be considered a “stolen bicycle”. Remember to register your bicycle if you bought a new one, or if you received it from a friend.

✅Always park your bicycle at the designated parking spaces only as it will be towed away if it is not parked at the proper places.

If your bicycle got towed, you will have to go to the place where they kept it and pay the fine.

Be sure to follow the bicycle etiquette to ensure a happy lifestyle in Japan.
