Proper Use of the Balcony
In most cases, the balcony is used or treated as a temporary evacuation area. For this reason, avoid putting objects at the balcony that might become obstacles during escaping in times of emergency.
Refrain also from putting things against the thin partition that divides your balcony from the neighbor’s since this can be removed during emergency times, transforming the balcony into a passable road.
If someone is living below your house/room, be careful not to drip water downstairs. For people living at the first and second floors, make it a habit to always check the lock of the balcony windows to avoid suspicious people from going inside your house.
