Punctuality in the Workplace

08.11.2019

Japanese people are strict with time. In Japan, it is natural for trains to come according to timetables, and you will receive an apology announcement even if a train is delayed by a few minutes.

Accordingly, “punctuality” is very important at work.

For example, if you arrive your work at 9:02 AM, you might think that you are late just for 2 minutes but “punctuality” is a Japanese custom.

Japanese people especially hate to be late for work.

People who are late are considered to be not good at work.

If you work in Japan, be careful not to be late, whether you are a foreigner or a Japanese.
