“Keirō no Hi” or Respect for the Aged Day (Every 3rd Monday of September)
Respect for the Aged Day is celebrated every September 15 but it now falls around the middle of September. On this day, the elderly are appreciated and celebrated for their longevity and contribution to the society throughout the years. In short, it is a “Thank you” day to our grandparents! Don’t forget to say thank you to your own grandparents on this day as well. We are sure they will appreciate the gesture.
