08.05.2019

・Japan is known to have many volcanoes and thus, this results to many hot springs. Hot springs are believed to have anti-aging and beauty enhancing effects, and also can treat a number of diseases and injuries. Even from the past, Japanese have always loved hot springs. Of course Japanese love soaking in their tubs (ofuro) but the hot springs do have this unique appeal that is different with ofuro. Entering a hot spring is one of the best ways to relieve fatigue and to have the ultimate relaxation experience.

・There are various manners which are needed to be observed when bathing in hot springs. Examples of these would include; taking off your underwear when you enter the bathing area, careful not to splash hot water or bubbles on other people, avoid soaking your hair and towel once inside the bathtub, wipe your body until dry before returning to the dressing area, and many more. In shared facilities such as hot springs, be careful to follow the rules so that you and the people around will have a good bathing experience.
