09.01.2019

The fireworks display is an event, which is done in a lot of places here in Japan. The fireworks display is held every year from July until August. During the event, most people wear yukata, to see the fireworks.

Do you know why yukata is worn?

Wearing yukata has been a habit of the Japanese people when watching fireworks on a cool evening. It is said to have started since the Edo period. At present time, yukata has become a standard outfit for a “fireworks display date”.
